MassPay Cuts FX Steps, Offers Direct Local Currency Payouts to 180 Nations
MassPay now routes cross-border payments in local currency without USD conversion, reducing costs for businesses paying globally.
MassPay, a global financial orchestration platform and Visa Direct partner, has announced an expanded payout capability that allows businesses to send funds directly to recipients in local currencies across 180 countries, eliminating the traditional double-conversion process that has long eroded payee earnings on cross-border transactions.
The company's solution removes the standard practice of routing international payments through the U.S. dollar or another intermediary currency before reaching the final destination. By compressing what was previously a multi-step foreign exchange process into a single FX hop, MassPay says payees stand to receive a greater share of each disbursement.

The announcement, made in Las Vegas, positions MassPay alongside existing Visa Direct infrastructure, suggesting the service can leverage established card and bank-network rails to reach a broad global footprint without requiring businesses to build separate regional payment arrangements.
