Skydance Names New Board With Kreiz, Powell Jobs and Kotick
Skydance Media has announced its incoming board of directors, adding high-profile figures from tech, gaming and media alongside a former UK prime minister as advisor.
Skydance Media has unveiled the composition of its new board of directors, appointing a slate of prominent business and entertainment figures as the company solidifies its leadership structure following its high-profile merger with Paramount Global. David Ellison will remain at the helm as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, maintaining continuity at the top of the newly combined organization.
Joining the board as independent directors are Laurene Powell Jobs, founder and president of the Emerson Collective, and Bobby Kotick, who built Activision into one of the world's dominant video game publishers. Ynon Kreiz, who serves as Skydance Co-CEO, will also take a seat on the board, reflecting the integrated leadership model the company intends to pursue.

Adding an international dimension to the company's advisory structure, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has been named as an advisor to Skydance. Blair's appointment signals the company's interest in cultivating relationships with global policymakers and expanding its footprint beyond U.S. markets.
The board composition blends deep expertise across media, consumer technology, and interactive entertainment — sectors increasingly converging as streaming platforms, gaming, and film studios compete for the same audience attention and talent. The appointments reflect Skydance's ambition to position itself as a broad-based media and entertainment enterprise under Ellison's leadership rather than a traditional film production company.
