Kraken's Payward, Singapore Gulf Bank Launch Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for real-time clearing, giving institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf 24/7 digital asset settlement.
Payward, the parent company behind the Kraken exchange, has joined forces with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver around-the-clock settlement capabilities for institutional digital asset trading, the companies announced from Sydney on Oct. 4, 2026.
The partnership centers on Payward's integration of SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's proprietary real-time clearing network. The move eliminates traditional settlement windows, allowing institutional clients operating across Asia and the Gulf region to complete transactions at any hour without waiting for conventional banking hours to resume.

As part of the agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime — Kraken's institutional-grade trading arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That step is designed to deepen the pool of tradable assets available through the bank's network, potentially tightening spreads and improving execution quality for large-order participants.
The collaboration reflects a broader push by financial infrastructure providers to close the operational gaps that have historically separated crypto markets from traditional institutional workflows. Real-time settlement reduces counterparty risk and frees up capital that would otherwise sit idle during clearing delays — a persistent friction point for hedge funds, family offices, and other institutional players active in digital assets.
